Sources of Encouragement for Homeschool Families


Busyness, isolation, insecurity, and tiredness can leave us feeling alone or discouraged in our homeschooling journey.  Before throwing down (or throwing in) the towel, allow some streams of encouragement to flow in and rejuvenate you, giving you the strength you need to run the race well.  DISCOURAGEMENT Even the most confident homeschooling parent grows discouraged from time to time.  Especially if you’re new and have insecurities about what you’re doing or how you’re doing it, doubts may creep in and set up camp.  Don’t listen to that accusing voice telling you you’re not doing enough, not doing it well, or don’t even know what you’re doing.  Psalm 1 tells us not to “stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers…”.  Perhaps there are some that have not accepted your call to homeschool.  Remember, you answer to your Lord’s calling for your life, not theirs.  Take … [Read more...]
